The farewell garden party at 4 Jonas Cottages, planned before the 1st sale fell through. A typical English late summer's afternoon, ie it pissed down. Good thing Margaret lent us her matching gazebo. Various peeps pop in at various stages, and our new buyers Richard and Vic (who saw the house last weekend and loved it) pop over to do a quick measure up, and stay to help us drink as much of the wine stash as possible.
Exchange of contracts of sale on 4 Jonas Cottages, and shippers in to pack container contents (at last, after having been previously provisionally booked for the 30th August before the 1st sale fell through, then for the 5th, 12th and 20th November).

Vehicles head off up to London. Completion on sale happened Monday middayish.

Flight lands at silly-o'clock, and Jaynee's sister Jo picks us up and takes us to a motel that we've used before in Lygon Street; Jaynee lived for years in Carlton when she was at University. Breakfast in Lygon Street (damn fine eggs Benedict) on Monday and off to Melbourne Uni to sort out all our banking with Jaynee's bank. We buy a pay-as-you-go mobile broadband wireless modem and account (a great service, not available in the UK) and David gets stuck into work straight away (our AMI software works as intended; yay!).
A visit to Greebo and Honor, who flew out a week before we did and are in quarantine for 30 days. After manic car swaps with Jaynee's brother Steve, we end up with his new Cooper, which we drive down to Jaynee's parents at Cape Paterson, where her sister Jo and partner Ted are also visiting. Unfortunately, at that stage Jaynee accidentally hit the wrong button on her camera, and the next 2 weeks of photos (including our first visit to the Kyneton area to view properties) are very fuzzy indeed.
At Cape Paterson with Jaynee's family.
